5 FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS:
1. Teen Success Camp sees all students as being uniquely gifted and talented and seeks to show kids how to maximize their own talents – regardless of how they are “graded” as a student in our school systems.
2. Teen Success Camp teaches that if a person does what they love in life, either one, or both of the following outcomes occur: A person will earn a lot of money, and/or a person will be internally satisfied, gratified and happy regardless of the amount of money they earn.
3. In life, most problems, challenges, or questions can be solved utilizing more than one strategy or answer. What counts is that a person be able to THINK through these types of situations. Yet, due to grading requirements and the increased pressure on teachers to grade fairly – students often need to memorize facts, formulas and theories to be “successful” in earning a good grade, by providing a “right” answer. Teen Success Camp will be a mind-provoking experience, that will increase the attendee's critical thinking skills.
4. Teen Success Camp isn’t required to “grade” attendees and their performance at Camp. In truth, there aren’t any “right” answers to our course content; rather, through a series of open-ended, thought-provoking questions - attendees find success secrets and knowledge of self that work for them as a unique individual.
5. As a general behavioral tendency, people tend to believe most, the theories, conclusions and solutions they reach - based on their own personal viewpoint and personal experiences. At Teen Success Camp, we feel the knowledge of personal experience can be enhanced and broadened by the unique success secrets of accomplished guest speakers.
